My life changed at the age of 35 when I began to experience acute pain in my eye and head. In the beginning, I saw it as a regular pain, but after noticing I had lost the sense of taste of food. I decided to look for my symptoms on google, I got Bell’s Paralysis as a result. I call my doctor right away and went directly to the emergency room.

The first 48 hours after suffering paralysis are crucial for recovery. Mine was diagnosed at 96 hours. When I saw my collapsed face, I began to question myself in several areas of my life. I was in a toxic and abusive relationship, I didn’t express or communicate my feelings, and I was so unconscious of my face that four days passed, and I didn’t realize that I couldn’t blink.

At that moment I decided to start becoming aware of my face. The next day, I started with the rehabilitation which consisted of kinesiology tape therapy, electro frequency, and daily exercises that allowed me to learn to move each of my facial muscles again. However, despite my recovery, I felt that I needed something else.

I began to read and research alternative therapies and that’s when I found facial yoga as a method of relaxation and face toning. I started with acupuncture and reflexology sessions three times a week and little by little I began to feel and see how my face healed.

Despite my recovery, I felt like my body was filled with energy, emotions, and feelings that I did not recognize or understand, and that’s when I decided to attend a traditional yoga class.

On one occasion, they announced the teacher training and I felt the call in my heart. I signed up and in a few weeks, my body was transformed. It was not easy, but with a lot of work, I learned that each posture benefits different organs and allows us to heal and detoxify them.

I understood that breathing was the key to performing each of the different postures, so I decided to incorporate conscious breathing into my practice of acupuncture, reflexology, and facial yoga. 

During my traditional yoga certification, I began to enjoy the benefits of meditation, so I wanted to delve deeper into the subject and decided to enroll in a mindfulness class.

Now I could feel with each meditation how the muscles of my face felt involuntary spasms and began to relax. I began to focus on my face and learned to segment each of its parts, and that is how meditation was born with mindfulness on the face.

The Face Healing Method® was born the moment I decided to be present in each conscious breath, the day I learned to listen to my face and interpret each of its necessities.

I understood in order to heal our face, we need to find the cause and why. I learned that when you become aware of your face, is very easy to prevent and improve the signs of aging, and achieve emotional and mental well-being and that the face is the mirror that allows a diagnostic of the body and soul because it reflects the emotions that mark the face.

Now, I am certified in Facial Yoga and Traditional Yoga with a specialty in Mindfulness/Meditation (MBSR).

After healing I knew that in order to not have another facial paralysis I had to go deeper in to my anatomy and know where, how and why this happen, I was afraid all the time so I became an expert of knowing the function of the Lymphatic system, I start doing massages on my body using the lymphatic map, and the nodes, and I notice that I had more energy, I was sleeping better, I was not bloated and my body shape was more defined every day, I start teaching more than 10,000 women around the world how to do daily massages and the results and the testimonies are amazing.
